Crash Information

A crash report is a basic form that is used by peace officers in Texas. The reports are kept by the Texas Department of Transportation. They file and review every crash report in Texas. If, they find a mistake they send it back to the reporting agency. Most of the information is gathered at the scene of the crash. This however will not answer all the answers and it is up to the investigating officer to obtain all information in order to answer any question that might arise in the future.

To obtain a copy you can go to your local DPS office and pay for one using a check or money order. I recommend for people involved have there insurance carrier to obtain it.

Post your questions on crash reports and anything else you might want answered.

  2. A recommendation when purchasing insurance do not by the minimum coverages vehicles on the road now a days are way more costly than the minimum. It is relatively cheap to get more coverage especially for bodily injuries and property damage. Destroy a Lincoln, BMW, Mercedes and your minimum will not cover the damages you the driver will still be obligated to pay. GET MORE COVERAGE I MAXED MINE OUT! Yo never know when something will happen to you.

  3. One word of advice. I recently made a claim on my Jeep for some hail damage. Little did I know that my deductable for comprehensive damage was $500, which means I had to pay out of pocket for damage that wasn't even my fault. I have lowered my deductable on my comprehensive claims and recommend everyone else to do so as well so that you won't have to pay so much when something happens to your vehicle that isn't your fault.

  4. It's important to know exactly what kind of coverage we have so there is no surprises when we make a claim.
